Today we are going to talk about social media. Social media is such a complex tool, isn’t it? There are different platforms, different ways to reach out to our audience, and sometimes it can be overwhelming to know which path is best for us and our brand.
Let’s dig deep and find out how we can know what path is best not only for us, but for our brand as well.
Who are your customers?
What type of audience does your brand cater to? This can help you know what your audience likes, what type of content they would most interact with, and how to market your brand best to your audience.
Where do they hang out online?
What platforms do they frequent the most? (Instagram, Facebook, LinedIn, etc.)
What content do they need to see to believe that your products or services are worth their money?
You want to market your services on social media in a way that really shows off what you do, and why it would be worth investing in.
There are several different platforms out there in the world of social media, but don’t feel pressured to be on every platform that exists. You only need to be on the platforms that cater to your specific audience. If your audience is a younger demographic, Tik Tok may be a great place to start! Are you catering to middle aged women? Consider Pinterest and Instagram. Rather than trying to overwhelm yourself by being on every platform out there, define your audience and figure out where they are, so that you can spend your time and energy exactly where you need to be.
The reason you want to really narrow down what platforms are best for you and your audience is this; it will allow you to truly be present and authentic in those spaces rather than creating generic content and posting it across multiple platforms. Being able to narrow down your audience, and choosing platforms based on that will allow you more time to connect with your audience. It will also allow you the space to answer any questions or concerns they may have, which allows you to build a true and meaningful connection, and in turn helps build customer loyalty, while also strengthening your brand.
It is important to know who your customers are, where they hang out online, and what content will truly show them who you are, and that what you offer is worth investing in. Ultimately you want your brand to stand out and catch people’s attention. The world of social media may be complex, but it is also a great tool for your brand and business.
